This backup switch wire harness retainer is an exact reproduction. This retainer is installed on the most forward shifter-mounting bolt with the plastic clip up.

There was also a wire harness retainer for the backup switch further up the firewall. It was Plastic J-hook Style and looked a lot like the backup transmission wire harness retainer or it could have been a simple flat strap type commonly found to retain other wires.

For 1967-1968 Mustang/Shelby, you will need 2 wire harnesses

They get mounted into the first and last screw holes on the top of the transmission cover. They are installed with the bracket facing the top of the tunnel. It was also used on 1970 Mustangs with 3 spd transmissions.
