Return Policy

You are welcome to return regular stock, and as-new parts in the factory packaging within 60 days from date of purchase for a refund. All returns must be un-altered in any way (not painted, stripped, cut, used, etc.). No returns for special order items will be accepted. Returns will be subject to any Credit Card transaction fees incurred and re-stocking fees if applicable.

All returns require an RMA number which may obtained by calling us toll free @ 888-707-0774. All shipping costs will be the customer’s responsibility. We recommend insuring all return shipments as damaged parts will not be refundable under any circumstances. Returns that are not accompanied with an RMA number will not be accepted. Most reproduction bumpers, body kits, sheet metal and hoods will require fitting, prep work, or bodywork to fit right. If your body shop or mechanic does not have the expertise required to install the reproduction parts properly, or are simply not willing to do the extra work, The Mustang Shop is not responsible.

NON-RETURNABLE ITEMS

The following items are non-returnable under any circumstances:

 

DAMAGED OR INCORRECT PARTS

If a return is the result of our shipping error (we sent the wrong merchandise, or the item is defective) we will try to arrange pick up and ship the correct item(s) to you at NO additional cost. If the product is damaged during shipping through no fault of ours, we are not directly responsible but will help file a claim with the shippers and get your parts replaced as fast as we can. If you choose to cancel your order at this point, the order is subject to a cancellation fee of 15% if you choose not to take another item in exchange.

FREIGHT SHIPPING (LARGE ITEMS): You must inspect the contents of your order BEFORE signing the delivery receipt. Any damages should be noted by the driver on your copy of the delivery receipt, and you must make an insurance claim with the shipping carrier to recover the cost of repairing damage on shipments. If the item can be repaired with little effort please accept the boxes, meaning if it costs you $100 to repair it don't refuse it as return costs can be $200+, if the items is destroyed beyond repair it MUST BE REFUSED with the driver and returned to our warehouse. At this point, we will re-ship a new item and file the claim on our side. If you do not refuse the shipment in most cases, we cannot help you. Therefore, it’s important to ship to a trusted address like a business where someone can inspect the shipment. Freight items will never be left at your door. They will always require a signature with any freight carrier.

If you sign for the parts, you are signing your name and agree with the shipping company that these parts are not damaged, this is done by all carriers. Once you sign that delivery slip it is in most cases not possible to do a claim with the shipping company. We try to notify every customer with the tracking number so you are aware of the day they will deliver but it is not up to us to make sure people receiving your goods have been told to inspect. Please arrange to have your parts shipped to an address that you can trust someone will inspect the freight boxes.

FEDEX, UPS and Canada Post Parcel Shipments: In most cases, they will leave the parts at your door. If you require a “signature on delivery” service with FEDEX or UPS, please email or call us after you order as we can do that for you (they charge extra for that). We are not responsible for shipments that show as being delivered but have been stolen from your property. Please only ship to a safe address as we cannot be responsible for any theft or vandalism.

CANCELLATION POLICY & ORDER RETURN

Canceled orders are subject to any Credit Card transaction fees incurred and re-stocking fees if applicable. Special order items may not be canceled if we have already ordered the item for you from our vendor. Orders may not be canceled once they have been shipped. We will not pay for return shipping on returned product unless it’s being returned due to a mistake on our side. Pictures of product must be taken in high resolution and emailed to sales@themustangshop.ca to discuss any issue about items your having trouble with. Nothing can be done unless pictures are presented to us in case of a claim or product return or exchange.

Returns must be requested within 60 days of receipt of delivery. Returns or exchanges will not be accepted on any items that have been used, modified, installed, painted, or damaged. This includes trying to install the part and damaging it in any way or altering it to a different state then it was received. All parts returned must be in their original packaging and must be in the same condition that it was received in. In other words, we must be able to receive the parts back “as is” and re-sell them to another customer without him/her knowing it was ever returned. Original shipping charges and return shipping charges are not refundable. Buyer is responsible for return shipping arrangements. ALL RETURNED MERCHANDISE MUST RECEIVE PRIOR APPROVAL FROM THE MUSTANG SHOP before you send it back and must have a valid RMA number that we will provide by phone or email.

All item(s) returned must be accompanied by a pre-issued Return Merchandise Authorization Number (RMA#). You must abide by these instructions to return any merchandise:

1. Obtain RMA# (Return Merchandise Authorization #) by email or by calling us during business hours.

2. RMA# must be clearly marked on the outside carton next to the mailing label of the return merchandise on the outside of the carton.

3. Merchandise must be on the way back to us withing 10 days of the RMA return # being issued.

4. Any merchandise returned without a valid RMA# number may be refused and returned to you at your costs

5. You are responsible for all shipping charges for returns and warranty issues.

6. All returned merchandise must arrive in original condition, including all broken items, instructions and hardware. You cannot keep any bits or hardware that came with the item. If the item is damaged or lost during return shipment, The Mustang Shop will not issue any refund or credit. Please buy insurance on all return merchandise.

RE-STOCKING FEE (15% Minimum)

The Mustang Shop is under no obligation to accept any returns after the 60 Days Return window. However, at our discretion, we may accept certain returned items and apply a re-stocking fee. The re-stocking fee is intended to cover the credit card transaction costs, any re-packaging that needs to occur, re-labelling and the general staff time spent receiving and re-shelving the product.

Notes

All applicable fees will be deducted from your refund.

We reserve the right to adjust the fee amount based on the condition of the product and its packaging.

All returned products are inspected.

Products that show signs of excessive age, abuse, or improper handling may be rejected.

These exceptions will be returned to sender at their expense or disposed of, based on the customer's preference.

CREDIT CARD REFUNDS

When we take credit card payment, we pay a transaction fee to the credit card company. When we put money back on your card, they again charge us a transaction fee. If money is being returned to your credit card, we therefore cannot refund the processing fee of 4% that we had to pay from your original order. If we are returning the money back to your card because you have double ordered, changed your mind or ordered something by mistake, then you must pay the transaction fees that we have incurred. The 15% cancellation fee will still apply to any cancelled order. If we are issuing a refund due to our error, this policy will not apply.

Please note: If we do a refund to your credit card it may take up to 5-7 business days before it shows up on your statement (depending on your bank). If you have any questions about this policy, please contact us.

PRICING

Due to fluctuating values in world-wide currency, shipping cost, and sudden vendor price increases, all prices on this website are subject to change without notice. If price is of primary concern, please inquire, at time of order to verify cost and availability.

WARRANTY CLAIMS

Warranty policies are set up by the specific manufacturer and not The Mustang Shop. Most manufacturers now require warranty claims to be made directly to them and we do not have authority to supersede such policy. We are simply the re-seller and are under no obligation to replace any parts under warranty. We will help you contact the manufacturer, and will provide the proof that you bought their product from us, but your warranty is with them.

LIABILITY

Some brake, wheel, lighting and suspension components are manufactured for off road use and may not be D.O.T. approved. The purchaser is solely responsible for determining the suitability of any and all products purchased from The Mustang Shop. We are not responsible for any damages incurred due to the failure of any parts bought from The Mustang Shop for any reason.
