Most underlay kits use a newer technology material than Ford used in the sixties. It works fine for most applications, but THIS uses an exact "concours" material just like the one used form 1964-1968 on every Mustang. The material is a tar paper with a cellophane top layer exactly like that old crunchy stuff you took out of your car in chunks! It needs to warm up inside a heated garage, or in the sun, before you unroll it as it is genuine tar based. Ford moved to a different "jute" based material in 1969, but this would also work on 69-70 Mustangs and will provide better sound deadening. The manufacturer can no longer get this material, so we bought the last remaining kits they had. Once we sell out, they will be gone for ever!!! We still have the 2 piece kit that includes the Front piece (which covers the front foot wells and the shifter part of the tunnel) and the Middle piece (which covers the rear seat foot wells and that part of the tunnel) . We also still have the 1 piece that goes under the back seat. This 1 piece is cut to fit a Coupe body style, but can easily be trimmed to work in a Fastback or Convertible.
