These gas tanks are excellent quality, but a little bit cheaper than their galvanized equivalents. While the original gas tanks in the 1960s had a galvanized steel finish, these aftermarket tanks have a sliver painted finish over a galvanized steel structure. They actually look better than the original tanks, but are technically incorrect for true Concours restorations. Apart from the painted finish, these tanks are identical in shape and fit. These tanks DO have a drain plug in the bottom.
