Upgrade from your stock coil to more powerful PerTronix Flame-Thrower coils. The Flame-Thrower I is an excellent substitute for the stock yellow top coil used on cars still using points and condensers. The Flame-Thrower I is also the perfect match for people converting to a PerTronix Ignitor I Ignition System looking for maximum performance, The Falme-Thrower II has a higher voltage output and is designed for use with PerTronix Ignitor II ignition system. The Flame-Trower II are these 0.6 ohm coils that deliver more than 45,000 V to your plugs for fuller, more complete combustion in concert with the PerTronix Ignitor II. If you are using the PerTronix I, or stock points.. do NOT use the Flame-Thrower II as the inceased voltage may harm your system. Pertronix also makes a Flame-thrower III coil for use ONLY with the PerTronix Ignitor III system. This coil features an ultra-low resistance of 0.32 ohms to work with the electronics of the Ignitor III.
